A Letter……….

Written on May 14, 2008 – 5:17 pm | by chanceblack |

images.jpg Dear Arlen Specter,

Sir, we as fans respect the fact you feel like the NFL is giving a free pass to the Patriots for the SpyGate scandal. It’s true some of us feel like Roger Goodell did not punish the Patriots enough, but for you to get on National T.V. and say you are going to try and revoke some of the deals they have in place is ridiculous and stupid.  We as fans have gone thru questionable acts by some of the teams in the past.  We also know everyone gets theirs in the end.  It was most enjoyable to see the Patriots walk off the field in the Super Bowl as losers.  In other words let it go, you are starting to sound like a cry-baby.  S**T HAPPENS!!!!! they were caught and now they will be in question from that point on.  That is enough for us, it should be for you.  I mean if you want to be real……..how bout that illeagal hit your beloved Steelers landed on Carson Palmer? That was a cheap move right? investigate that!!!!!!!!!! It happens in this sport and we love it just the way it is!  So please stay out of it, just take it like the rest of us.  If you think the fans are going to let you mess up our favorite sport, you are sorely mistaken.  Be a Senator and stay out of grown folk stuff.  This is not the MLB, you would think after how you guys handled that situation you would leave well enough alone.  The Patriots are paying for their crime by knowing that there is doubt in the hearts of a lot of fans that they cheated to win.  They will have to answer those questions till the end of time, till then they will be on their best behavior.  So don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house!!!!!!!! So go bring our soldiers home or balance the budget or something!!!!!!!!!!  STAY OUT OF OUR SPORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!                                                                             uuuhhhh…..SIR!

CBLACK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rumor Web Wednesday

Written on May 14, 2008 – 12:43 pm | by chanceblack |

nfl-logo1.pngHello kiddies, here are some rumors floating around the NFL

Kevin Jones is reported to be talking to the Patriots.  The Pats are wanting to get into the 2 back system with Maroney.  If you thought the Pats will be tough before, if this goes thru they will a sure lock to take the AFC.

Shaun Alexander is still looking for work.  Recent visits with the Saints, and the Bengals have other teams wondering if he still has the heart to play at this level.

Lofa Tatupu was recently arrested for drunk driving.  Tatupu gave his apologies to teammates, fans, and the Seahawks. Question is what will Roger Goodell do?

After talking to Matt Walsh for 3 hours, nothing new was given to Roger Goodell on the Spygate scandal. Walsh told Goodell everything that Bill Belichick already said.  Senator Arlen Specter is still not convinced, Specter is reported to call Walsh in for a private talk.

If you have’nt seen it, then thank god.  Romo was at a Chicago Cubs game and was asked to sing the traditional  “take me out to the ballgame” song in the 7th inning.  Needless to say Tony did not pick up any singing skills from his girlfriend Jessica Simpson.  Stick to football and golf Tony.

David West not too long ago in the start of his NBA career was label as he is too small to play power forward and is to slow to play small forward so what do you do with him?  West has answered the questions with I am one of the best forwards in the game today period.  It can be small or power West can play both and last night West put on a performance in Hornets history will go down as one of the best.  West last night scored a career high 38 points 14 rebounds shot 16-25 from the floor as the Hornets take a comanding 3-2 lead in the best of seven from the Spurs.

Pain Is Not An Option - Kobe Will Play

Written on May 14, 2008 – 5:50 am | by bcourtney |

back.JPG

During Game 4 between the Jazz and Lakers, Kobe Bryant hurt is back in the opening minutes.  That lead to a Jazz win in overtime 123-115.  But yesterday during a press conference Bryant told reporters that his back was a little sore but it will be fine.  “I think the key is to know what you can and can’t do,” he said.  Phil Jackson stated that Bryants might not shoot that well, but added He’ll do Ok.  The Lakers have won the last six games between the teams in Los Angeles and have a 16-3 record against the Jazz at the Staple Center.  Ronny Turiaf will play in tonights game after being ejected during Game 4.  If Utah wants to win this game they will have to learn how to win at home and with Kobe’s bad back they may have their chance tonight.

Pistons Advance To Eastern Finals

Written on May 14, 2008 – 5:28 am | by bcourtney |

dp.JPG

Last night the Detroit Pistons sealed the deal by beating the Orlando Magic 91-86 to advance to their sixth-consecutive Eastern Conference Finals.  They won this game at home so it made it even more special.  Orlando had a chance to come back within the last few minutes, but Tayshaun Prince blocked Hedo Turkoglu’s dunk with 16 seconds left.  The Pistons top performers was Richard Hamilton who led the team with 31 pts and Antoino McDyess with 17 pts and 11 rebounds.  Chauncey Billups is stilled sidelined with that sore hamstring.  Dwight Howard had a double double with 14 pts and 17 rebounds.  With this win, Detroit now must wait for the winner of the Celtic-Cavs series.  They play tonight in Boston and the series is tied 2-2.  Congrats to Detroit, but I still think without Billups in the lineup they may have a tough time in this next round.  Only time will tell.
